Re: First impressions of new signings
His 'company' he works for probably prefer him not to have one. Proper dodgy stuff that signing.

Anyway I thought you'd decided he was shit and was getting all angry about him joining?

Re: First impressions of new signings
I'm not sure what the point of this loan is then. He's unproven, will probably be third choice at best and if he does well we likely lose him?

I can't believe we don't have an option. Bizarre situation.

How the fuck can anybody be arsed to tap out this shit on players nobody has had a chance to see properly yet?

Haven't any of you got anyone to rape?

Ermm... most of our strikers are injured. Seems like a good idea to me.

Re: First impressions of new signings
Shame that the best player out of the bunch appears to be in the one position that we'll most unlikely need filling once Cresswell is back. Needed a first team starter, no questions, first name on the team sheet sort of player. Arthur looks great but what happens when Cresswell comes back? we have a great player sitting on the bench alongside the dross that we bought for other positions

Re: First impressions of new signings
Not having Nordveit one bit - him and Noble in the same midfield is just too slow and immobile.

Gokhan Poor may improve but has generally been fucking awful.

How we won a premier league with Tore, Valencia and Nordveit on the same pitch as well as Antonio shinning it off only goes to prove how shit Bournemouth were.

Hopefully Ayew will be decent but he won't be the player he can be until next season now, this season is done for him. He'll come back and break again after 3-4 games as will Cresswell, this is what happens with bastard injuries.

The left back I am having, he's confident which I like.

Fenghouli I'll reserve judgement and the same goes for the rest as not seen enough.

Arthur at LB has looked the best out of the fairly average bunch IMO

Left back looks decent.

Tore just looks unfit

Fergouhli (sp) looks decent

Calleri need to see more of him.

Nordvelt needs work.

Re: First impressions of new signings
Tore is always going to be better on the left. I hate it when Managers play guys out of position.

Re: First impressions of new signings
I'm not very good at impressions normally, but I can't dribble the ball very well but do try hard so I suppose I do a mean Valencia, does that help?

Re: First impressions of new signings
Moving on to Second impressions:-

Tore ~ Changed my mind having seen tonights performance. He DOES deserve the critisism he's been getting!
Sick of the sight of him falling over, mispassing, losing possession & not getting the ball in the box
Worst player on the pitch by a margin

Nordtveit ~ Thought he was pretty crap in the previous games but surpassed himself tonight. Waste of space!

Calleri ~ Still think he's talented despite tonights poor performance. I think he just needs a goal to get his confidence going. Service to him was poor to non-existent

Fletcher ~ Changed the game when he came on & made a real effort. We only looked like we might score after he came on. Good signing, great potential

Overall, the signings so far this summer have been nowhere near good enough. This was a chance to show what they could do & stake a claim to a 1st team place & they haven't done it

First impressions of new signings:

Average to dogshit.

However I do like Fletcher the little I've ssen tonight. Play him some more and we just MAY have a diamond.

Re: First impressions of new signings
Would be interesting to see how Arthur and Creswell could play together down the left. Creswell could be a sort of Gareth bale type conversion to a forward. I bet Bilic try's to play both of them at some point.

Re: First impressions of new signings
Thing is when you have a good season ideally you then to get to the next level bring in some players who can improve the squad but also players who can improve the first eleven. Arguably we haven't really done that.

I personally think Ayew was a panic buy although could probably do a decent job once fit, Callieri looks pretty lightweight for the Premier League and currently low in confidence, Nordveit I can't really understand unless he is pure back up once all are fit, Tore is just dreadful, Feguli or whatever his name is looked ok from what I saw of him as does Arthur, although are both going to be starters once all are fit. Fletcher does look decent I must admit but again if we want to improve he will only be a back up.

Re: First impressions of new signings
I can't say any have improved the team. Strongest 11 would probably be players that were here last year. Recruitment has been average this year.
